Simulations are a valuable tool in predicting the effect of changes to systems, identifying risk and gaining insights. However, simulations are often expensive to develop and maintain, therefore are being underutilised within industry. Our research focuses upon developing simulations that are easier to use and can automatically adapt to changing environments through real time data input, reducing cost of maintenance and increasing the models fidelity to the current situation. For the last mile of delivery, traffic simulations aid city planning, selection of appropriate vehicile and consideration of environmental impact.
